Education at Alert Level 2

At Alert Level 2, early learning services, schools and tertiary education facilities are open for all age groups. Extra public health control measures are in place to prevent the spread of disease and to support contact tracing. Distance learning will be available for those who cannot attend school. For example, where students need to self-isolate. Workplace-based learning will follow the rules that apply to the relevant industry.

Face coverings

Children, young people and teachers do not need to wear face coverings at their service or school, or on school transport.  It is an option for boys to wear masks should they choose to.
