Matt Mallett

Matt was in the same year as Marc Ellis and yes, like him, wore the infamous speedos as regulations swimwear.

“In my last year, we were lucky to have Mr Owen inspiring us and guiding us through to secondary school,” says Matt.  “I recall with some pride, my suggestion that the new rugby goal posts be painted in the sports socks colours, and to much amusement convinced someone to do it.”

Ultimately, he was lucky that his more mature moments were recognised and he won the Headmaster’s Cup for Citizenship from Mr Dreadon.

In 2010 At the Bay Magazine, Matt comments “I am eager to get stuck into this Old Boy reconnection programme and bolster the Foundation, as I want my boys, and others who have the opportunity to attend Wellesley, to have that unique experience.”
