Congratulations to the seven boys who received prizes. In particular to Jesse Richardson who won the Junior Division.
Wellington Regional Children’s Literature competition—3rd and 4th. Congratulations to our teams who for the fourth year running got in the first three places in this challenging competition.
Term 2 starts on Monday April 23rd.
Congratulations to our Globetrotters basketball team who won the Hutt Valley League.
A successful sports exchange with Scots ended our summer sports’ fixtures. The 1st cricket, tennis and softball teams all had wins as did our Colts cricket and 2nd VIII tennis teams.
Our Prime Minister, the Rt Hon John Key opened our new library this week.
Sadly, old boy, Jock Hobbs died earlier in the week. Jock attended Wellesley in the ‘70s and in 1972 he won the P.B. Cooke Cup for Best All-Round Boy and was Head Boy.
Positive team work gave the Year 4 Rippa rugby team the edge to win the Hutt tournament.
Congratulations to the Wellesley Weetbix TRYathlon team who won a $500 cash prize!
The Year 6 classes were delighted to move into their new classrooms. Our new library is very close to being ready!
