I welcome you and your family to Wellesley College, to share our school’s vision for teaching and learning.

Our holistic philosophy supports the boys' full range of needs. A major part of educating for the future requires us to equip our boys with the knowledge, understanding and skills they will need to be lifelong learners. We want our boys to become active and positive members of their local, national and global communities. The boys are Wellesley’s best advocates.

Developing children’s individual talents, creativity and self-esteem are fundamental to Wellesley’s philosophy. Children need to feel secure, safe and supported before they take on learning risks.

The positive relationship between the staff and the boys is a feature of the school. Our talented and dedicated staff are passionate about their work. As Wellesley's most important resource, we ensure they remain fresh and in tune with ‘best practice’ teaching methods through ongoing professional development.

We believe learning can be fun, and should impart a sense of accomplishment and ownership. Our challenge is to ensure our students retain their motivation to ask questions, and to give them an educational foundation that empowers them to make sense of their world and control their destiny. We foster life skills, including work and study habits, so our boys can move on to secondary school with a strong degree of independence and self discipline.
