Year 1 Teacher, 2018 - 12 month, fixed-term contract

Wellesley College was established in 1914 and is situated in Days Bay Wellington. Wellesley is an independent primary school for boys from years 1 to 8 and is one of New Zealand’s leading schools.

Candidates who wish to apply for these positions must be dynamic professionals who are passionate about boys’ education. They must be able to develop and maintain excellent relationships with students, staff and the community. They must be willing to engage in extra-curricular activities and inject themselves into the life of the school.  

The successful candidates must be able to cater for different learning styles and modify their teaching and learning to suit each individual boy. They must be able to teach the core curriculum elements of the New Zealand curriculum and have well developed behaviour management skills. Experience in boys’ education, teaching inquiry based learning and critical thinking skills is preferred, but not essential

Relief Teachers

We are looking for relief teachers to add to our Relievers Pool.  Teachers must be NZ Registered, be able to teach the core curriculum elements of the New Zealand curriculum and have well-developed behaviour management skills.
